Ragmon

Normal Ragmons

Ragmons in Ragnarok: Monster World serve as the core battle units in the game. Players can collect and deploy a wide range of monsters, each inspired by iconic Ragnarok designs. Over 400 types are available, spanning multiple rarities—from Common to Mythic.

Normal Ragmons are used to form battle decks and progress through various game modes. They can be acquired through in-game systems such as Chest Boxes or the Premium Battle Pass, and they level up through in-game merging, which increases their power and utility in battle.

Irochi Ragmons

Irochi Ragmons are rare variants of standard Ragmons, featuring visually enhanced designs and unique in-game buffs. While they share the same base identity as their normal counterparts, Irochi Ragmons stand out through:

  • Special visual effects, including glow animations and color enhancements

  • Variant skill effects, offering alternate visual or sound cues

  • Battle buffs, which may vary by season or event and provide performance advantages during matches

Irochi Ragmons are considered prestige assets in the game, rewarding collection efforts and enhancing battle capabilities. They can be acquired through limited-time events and the on-chain $ZENY shop, where selected Irochi variants are made available for purchase.

NFT Conversion (Sealing & Unsealing)

In Ragnarok: Monster World (CROSS Version), game-bound Ragmons can be converted into tradable NFTs through a process called Sealing. This allows players to list their Ragmons on the marketplace or store them as on-chain assets. Once Sealed, Ragmons become unavailable for gameplay until they are Unsealed using $ZENY.

  • Sealing is performed in-game and requires a Premium Battle Pass. It consumes xZENY or Crystals.

  • Unsealing is carried out through the official Ragmon website and requires $ZENY.

  • Sealed Ragmons cannot be used in battle until Unsealed.

  • Unsealing is also required when players wish to continue leveling or enhancing NFT Ragmons through in-game systems.

Sealing enables players to bring their Ragmons into the on-chain economy, while Unsealing restores their gameplay functionality.

Ragmon Growth

Ragmons grow through an in-game Upgrade system, which allows players to level up their units using the same Ragmons and in-game resources. This system is designed to enhance core stats and performance, forming a crucial part of long-term progression.

[How Upgrades Work]

  • Players select a target Ragmon to upgrade and consume identical Ragmons as materials.

  • Each attempt consumes Gold, with higher-level targets requiring more.

  • Upgrades are probability-based: success increases the target’s level by one; failure results in consumed materials but preserves the target Ragmon.

[Success Rate Mechanics]

  • Material Level Contribution: Higher-level material Ragmons contribute more toward the upgrade success rate. Each level has a fixed contribution value, reflecting the investment required to reach that level.

  • Material Quantity: Using more materials increases the total accumulated value, raising the overall success rate. However, a maximum cap ensures balance and prevents over-inflation of success.

  • Efficiency Considerations: Using only low-level Ragmons may result in poor upgrade efficiency. The system encourages strategic use of higher-level materials to protect the value of rare and invested units.
