Ragmon Upgrade

Enhance Your Ragmons Without Burning

Upgrade is an alternative enhancement method for rare Ragmons, including Irochi NFTs, allowing a single Ragmon to increase its level without requiring a second unit of the same rarity. Although it can be more expensive or carry different success rates compared to Merge, it provides a valuable pathway for players looking to advance a specific high-value Ragmon.

Overview

  • Eligible Ragmons: Only certain rare-tier Ragmons, such as Irochi, are eligible for Upgrade.

  • Single-Ragmon Enhancement: Unlike Merge, Upgrade focuses on one Ragmon, eliminating the need for a matching pair.

  • $ZENY Costs: Each Upgrade attempt consumes $ZENY, with amounts typically higher than a Merge. The final cost may depend on the Ragmon’s current level, rarity tier, or other in-game factors.

  • Success Rate: Upgrade attempts have a defined probability of success. Failed attempts still consume resources, but do not remove the Ragmon from the roster.

Yggdrasil Berry

If Yggdrasil Berries are part of the upgrade process, the same principles that apply to Merge may also apply here:

  • Success Boost: Each Yggdrasil Berry counts as an additional material, potentially raising the base success rate up to a specified cap.

    • Example Calculation

      • Upgrading a Level 1 Common Ragmon to Level 2 with a target success rate of 60%:

      • Base Rate Pricing: 10 ZENY per 0.96% success rate.

      • Required Units: 60% ÷ 0.96% ≈ 62.5

      • Total ZENY Cost: 10 ZENY × 63 ≈ 63 ZENY

  • Availability: Berries are only acquired through failed Merge attempts; failed Upgrades do not grant any Yggdrasil Berries.

  • Balancing Supply: The distribution and usage of Yggdrasil Berries are regulated by treasury rates and accumulated value, ensuring the overall economy remains stable.

As a high-cost and selective method, Upgrade is most effective when used to strengthen rare and strategically important Ragmons.

Upgrade costs are periodically adjusted based on market conditions, and any changes will be announced through the social channels.
