Ragmons serve as NFT-based game units, drawing inspiration from Ragnarok’s classic monster designs. There are over 400 types, categorized into Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic tiers. Higher rarities provide increased performance potential and collectible value. Ragmon NFTs on the Ronin chain can be freely traded and are eligible for token-based gameplay incentives, anchoring them as a crucial part of Ragnarok: Monster World’s on-chain economy.
Beyond their collectible appeal, Ragmon NFTs act as a gateway to token rewards and progression. In Ragnarok: Monster World on Ronin, these NFTs are required to earn eZENY in battle, and the number of Ragmons placed in a deck directly influences the overall reward potential. Performance factors—such as leaderboard ranking and game mode—also play a role in scaling earnings, underscoring the importance of NFT ownership within the play-to-earn ecosystem.
Irochi Ragmons represent rare variants of standard Ragmons, distinguished by visually enhanced designs, modified skill effects, and unique in-game buffs. Although Irochi Ragmons share the same fundamental identity as their original counterparts, these special versions offer notable advantages for both collectors and competitive players.
Visual Differences: Features such as exclusive coloring, glow effects, and distinctive animations help them stand out in battle.
Skill Effect Variations: Certain abilities may showcase alternative visual or audio effects.
Gameplay Buffs: Additional benefits—varying by season or event—provide tangible combat advantages.
Ragmons can be elevated through two $ZENY-based methods:
Combine two Ragmons of the same rarity to raise one’s level. Costs and success rates depend on rarity and current level.
Enhance a single Ragmon without sacrificing another. Although typically more expensive and subject to lower success rates, this method preserves existing Ragmons.
Summoning allows the creation of new Ragmons from a single existing Ragmon, replacing the legacy “Breeding” system that required two:
Single-Ragmon Requirement: Only one Ragmon is needed to initiate Summoning.
Cost & Rarity: Summoning consumes $ZENY; the new Ragmon’s rarity can be random or influenced by specific conditions.
Balance Measures: Cooldowns and additional resource requirements are in place to prevent excessive population growth and inflation.
