Mutation Rules

Mutation is a random event that may occur during hatching, producing an additional Ragmon of one rarity higher than the parents. It can happen under the following conditions:

  • The breeding multiplier must be 1 or higher, with the probability increasing based on the parent Ragmon's levels and rarity. The mutation chance is determined by summing the mutation rates of both parents. Irochi Ragmon follows a different probability rate.

  • The VRF function must be enabled during hatching for mutation chance, though it does not guarantee the mutation.

For Mythic Ragmons, mutation can produce Irochi Ragmons, as there is no higher rarity. However, this only happens if the mutation treasury has enough Irochi Ragmons available. If the treasury is empty, mutation will not occur for Mythic Ragmons.

  • To calculate the mutation probability in breeding, add the mutation rates of both parent Ragmons and multiply the sum by the breeding multiplier.

    • For example, breeding a Level 6 Poring and a Level 9 Poring with a multiplier of 3 results in a 7.35% mutation chance. (Since Poring is a common Ragmon, the mutation rates are 0.54% for Level 6 and 1.91% for Level 9. Adding these gives 2.45%, and multiplying by 3 results in 7.35%.)

    • For example, breeding a Level 6 Poring and a Level 9 Poring results in a 2.45% mutation chance (0.54% from Level 6 + 1.91% from Level 9).

Mutation Example

  1. Select a Level 5 Poring and a Level 8 Poring for breeding.

  2. Apply a Multiplier of 2 to enable mutation.

  3. The result is a Poring Egg with a recorded Multiplier of 2.

  4. Incubate the egg with or without VRF function.

  5. The egg is incubated, determining the number of hatched Porings (e.g., 3).

  6. After 3 days, the egg is ready to hatch.

  7. Hatch the egg with VRF function to enable chance for mutation.

  8. If a mutation occurs, the player receives 1 extra random Rare-tier Ragmon in addition to the 3 Porings.
